All entries to be submitted WITH ACCURATE & COMPLETE ENTRY FORM at the arena fair office on
Wed. July 23 - 6 to 9 p.m. or
Thursday, July 24 - Noon to 6 p.m.

Arena will close at 4 p.m. to allow the Committees to prepare
entries to be picked-up AFTER 5p.m. on Sunday, July 27th

Rules & Regulations:

1. On the payment of three dollars ($3.00) the Exhibitor is eligible to show in Classes 5 through 18 with the exception of Class 14 - Children. No fee will be charged to any child or student up to grade 12.
2. Memberships will not be deducted but can be purchased throughout the fair at the Sec.-Treas. office per membership. NEW Privacy Act adopted by the Society requires members to supply proper documentation.
3. Only one entry is allowed in each section in Classes 5 to 19.
4. All manufactured goods must be the product of the Exhibitor (manufacturers may exhibit through their agents). All grains, seeds fruits and vegetables must be raised by the Exhibitor.
5. All articles to be picked up on Sunday, July 27 at 5pm. AND NOT ONE MINUTE BEFORE 5PM to avoid any mix-ups
6. No produce or any other article shall be exhibited in any manner or with marks thereon or attached thereto by which the owner may be known or the exhibitor identified.
7. In the absence of competition in any section, if the stock or any article exhibited is of inferior quality, the judges are instructed to award only such premium as they think the article is deserving. They will execute their discretion as to whether they will award 1st, 2nd, 3rd or any premium. The Judges decision is final. NO PROTESTS ALLOWED
8. No person would be allowed to act as a Judge in the class in which they are exhibiting or are in any way interested in same.
9. Any person who will interfere with the judges while in charge of looking after the Exhibition or interfere with the Directors parties who may be assisting Directors, or those who have any thing to do with giving prizes, by using profanity or abusive language towards those discharging their duties will forfeit any prize money that may be due.
10. In case an error occurs in the printing of the prize list, the Directors have the power to rectify the same.
11. All professional exhibitors in fancy goods and any person dealing in these goods in a mercantile business are not eligible to exhibit prizes.
12. Exhibitors must allow their animals to be used for any judging competition that may be held during the exhibition.
13. All special prizes will be awarded to the article of winning the Society's first prize, excepting for Special prizes offered for articles for which the Society doesn't offer a prize. Such articles shall be judged for Special Prize only.
14. In case of rain or unfit weather, the Committee reserves the right to withdraw any prize money or postpone the Exhibition.
15. While the Directors of the Society agree to take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of the animals and articles sent to the Exhibition, it is distinctly understood that the owners are required to assume all the risk. Should any animal
or article be accidentally injured, lost or stolen, the Directors will render all assistance in their power for recovery of the same, but will not recognize any claim for payment of the value or portion thereof.
16. All prizes will be forwarded by cheque through the mail within 30 days after the Exhibition. All cheques must be cashed before November 30th, 2008 OR THEY BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE SOCIETY. All prize claims must be presented before November 30th, 2008.
17. Points for prizes will be as follows lst-3 points; 2nd-2 points; 3rd-1 point.
18. Due to printing deadline, prize list subject to change.
NOTE: THE DRESDEN AGRICULTURE SOCIETY WILL IN NO WAY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCIDENTS OR DAMAGES THAT MAY OCCUR ON THE FAIRGROUNDS.
